One of the peaks of keyboard repertoire, Bach’s Goldberg Variations was published in 1741, and forms the fourth and final part of his clavierübung (keyboard exercise) cycle. It is one of Bach’s greatest achievements and is a technical and interpretive challenge to performers.
Acclaimed British pianist Danny Driver makes his first recording for ONYX with this masterpiece and will be performing it at London’s Wigmore Hall in October 2025. A Gramophone Award–nominated artist, he has collaborated with renowned conductors and appeared with leading orchestras such as the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, and Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
